Groups who have been supported so far by the Community Chest Fund in 2008 - 2009

So far in 2008 - 2009 4 groups have benefited from the Community Chest Fund and over £1,300 has been granted.

1. Hawkinge Under 5's - A grant of £500 was awarded to the Hawkinge Under 5's to help pay for new outdoor play equipment.
   
2. Baptist Church Holiday at Home - A grant of £100 was awarded to the Baptist Church to help towards to the cost of the coach for a trip to Hever Castle.  Around 30 people attended and the trip was supported by 10 volunteers.
   
3. Hawkinge Youth Club - A grant of £300 was awarded to contribute towards the purchase of equipment for the Youth Club, such as games and activity sets.
   
4. Hawkinge Defiants - A grant of £470 was awarded to purchase new training equipment for the Hawkinge Defiants Football Club.  We are awaiting a report and pictures of the team using the equipment.
